We are delighted to announce that Eugene Fama has earned the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economics, the most coveted honor in the financial industry. The “Father of Modern Finance” received this honor for his groundbreaking work on asset pricing and markets.
This announcement is particularly relevant to Tackett Wealth Management clients because his research greatly embodies Tackett Wealth Management’s asset management methodology and investment philosophy, at least more than any other research by one individual. His founding of the Efficient Markets Hypothesis and co-founding of the Fama/French 3-Factor Model has transformed the industry.
Our hats are off to Gene for this well-deserved recognition. We appreciate everything he has done for the evidence-based investment community.
